Bleu de Chanel is the newest release for men from Chanel. This fragrance was highly anticipated largely due to a great marketing campaign from this famed house. This fragrance was composed by Chanel's in house "nose" the accomlished Jacques Polge. To take it a step further Chanel also gave the world a behind the scenes look into the creation of of it's latest offering. To most this seemed to have the makings of a huge success but there is a lot of buyers remorse.
A large portion of fragrance lovers feel like Chanel over promised and under delivered. "Not Original", "Too Safe", " Not worthy of the Chanel name" are a just a few negative comments made about Bleu. While I agree Bleu is not a ground-breaking fragrance. I feel it's a quality release from a quality fragrance house. With all the knocks on this frag it seems to still possess qualities we all look for in a fragrance. It's a very pleasant and appealing smell that gets complements. Bleu has good projection and lasts 8 plus hours. Even with all these impressive attributes Bleu still comes up short. It's been a few years since Chanel's last male release Edition Blanche. I feel that Bleu was a great way for Chanel to reintroduce itself to a highly saturated fragrance market. To fans of the Chanel house it did not receive a warm reception. Chanel is known for high quality mass market releases so why would some expect different. If you look at the Chanel house as a whole when have they ever released something that challenged the senses. From Egoïste Platinum to the Allure line quality and mass appeal has been a common theme with Chanel releases. Even though some may not agree Bleu is definitely no exception.

To be honest with you Zack those are all good choices but, Fahrenheit 32 is the best of the bunch. You will not regret the purchase at all. It will serve you well in the winter and nights out all year round.
